These leaf coasters were created to try out the new felt materials that Ponoko recently introduced. I love the vibrant colours available in the felt:
Boxes
Initially I saw boxes as another vehicle for my leaf motif:
Lately I’ve become interested in Breeze Blocks:
Jewellery
With these necklace and earring pairs I wanted to give the idea of bubbles:
…and the idea behind these rings:
is to make a set that can be worn together in different ways.Lampshades
I’ve been interested in making lampshades for a while now; and here are a couple of my new designs. First up are the Breeze Block shades:

Welcome to Fabricæ!
I am Rebecca Bulman. This is my new website… and it’s a little rough around the edges at the moment (but my husband’s working on that!).
I’ve been interested in design for as long as I can remember. I have a BCApSc degree from Otago University with majors in Clothing and Textile science. I have enjoyed designing and making clothes for myself and my family for very many years. Now that my youngest child has started school I am using the time that I have gained to explore other areas of design. The process started in mid-2007 when I became a beta user for Ponoko.
Ponoko has a laser-cutter and enables the general public to make 2D or 3D objects from sheets of wood or plastic. My first attempt was unsuccessful, but I was very happy with my second attempts.
I have a number of ideas flying around in my head at the moment and hope to work on as many as I can over the next few months.
